Situated on a rather nasty double bend on the High Street in Crigglestone is the Nelson Arms. The pubs opens from 5pm onwards during the week - so there is no point turning up at lunchtime. At weekends, the pub opens all day on Saturday and between 12:00 and 5:00 and 7:00 and 10:30 on Sunday (is it worth shutting for two hours?). There is a pop quiz on Thursdays at 9:30 with a meagre 25p entry, and a gallon of beer for the winner.
